Who we are

RSC is a group of cybersecurity experts, hackers, and volunteers — some seasoned, some just breaking in — all committed to securing communities and building a more inclusive industry.

Started in 2023 by Angela Brown, RSC began as a Discord server where cyber professionals and newcomers could converge. The server was started on a very inclusive premise, encouraging involvement from all members.

In early 2025, the server agreed to allow the name be used for the nonprofit.

Since then, RSC has begun growing into a volunteer-powered organization offering free security assessments to underserved groups, while creating pathways for people to gain real-world experience in cybersecurity.

What started as a chatroom is slowly evolving into a movement - one built on access, action, and community.
